Hello Beautiful Souls,
Blessed Imbolc! This is one of my favorite times of year, when I feel the magick of transformation. It's a time to dream big and think about the intentions you want to "seed" for this year. For me, Imbolc is much more than a seasonal marker, it’s an opportunity to reconnect with the core of my spirit and to set intentions that nurture growth in all facets of life. It’s a time to honor Brigid, the Goddess of Inspiration, healing, and creative spark. This is a moment to shed the weight of what no longer serves us and to make space for dreams yet to be born. This ritual helps me channel Imbolc’s transformative energy, and I’m excited to share it with you! 1. Create Your Sacred Space Start by carving out a little sanctuary in your home (if you don't have one already). Gather items that speak to your spirit:
2. Connect to Your Inner Flame Light your white candle and let its soft glow be a mirror to your inner light. As you gaze into the flame, feel the warmth and strength of your own creative spirit. Say: "With this flame, I awaken the light within me. May it guide my steps towards growth and infinite possibility." Pause, breathe deeply, and let the flickering light remind you that no matter how dark the night, your inner fire burns brightly, waiting to illuminate your path. 3. Plant the Seeds of Your Intentions Hold a few seeds in your hand—each one a promise of what you wish to nurture in your life. Whether you’re planting literal seeds or using symbolic ones, let your heart speak. Close your eyes, visualize your deepest desires, and say: "With these seeds, I plant the promise of my future. May they grow, flourish, and lead me to a life abundant with love, creativity, and joy." Then, gently place the seeds on your altar or plant them in a pot. Let each seed remind you of your own potential for blossoming into something extraordinary. 4. Cleanse and Renew Your Spirit Now, take your bowl of water and anoint yourself—forehead, heart, and palms. As the cool water caresses your skin, affirm: "I release the old and embrace the new. I welcome the flow of fresh energy and open my heart to all the possibilities that await." Feel the cleansing ritual washing away any lingering doubts, leaving you open and ready for the blessings of the season. 5. Close with Gratitude As you close your ritual, take a few moments to bask in gratitude. Thank your ancestors, Mother Earth, your Spirit team or and the unseen energies that support your journey. Extinguish your candle softly, knowing that its light continues to burn within you. If you used milk or cream as an offering, pour it lovingly onto the earth or over a living plant—a final tribute to the cycle of nourishment and renewal. If a full ritual feels like too much, here are some suggestions to still honor the magick of Imbolc:
Remember that Imbolc is a reminder of the cycle of rebirth and possibilities. Below the surface of what appears to a dormant and slumbering earth, there is a vibrant pulse beneath urging us to dream, to grow, and to shine. ![]() The Lunar New Year is almost here! A fresh slate, infinite possibilities, and, on January 29th, our very first new moon of 2025. This celestial event doesn’t just bring a cosmic reset; it carries the magical energy of new beginnings, amplified by the arrival of the Lunar New Year and the start of the Year of the Wood Snake. This is a great time to set intentions, connect with nature, and flow into the energies of the year ahead. What Does the First New Moon Mean? New moons are always a time for planting seeds—metaphorically and energetically. When the sky is dark, it’s like the universe is giving us a blank page, saying, “Here, your story starts now.” This isn’t the time to rush or leap but rather to dream, reflect, and whisper your deepest desires to the cosmos. This new moon in Aquarius invites us to think big. Here are some things to ponder and journal about:
Pair this potent Aquarian energy with the dawning of the Year of the Wood Snake, and we’ve got an alchemy of wisdom, transformation, and creativity waiting to unfold. The Year of the Wood Snake: In Chinese astrology, the Snake is a symbol of transformation, mystery, and intuition. But this year isn’t just any snake year—it’s ruled by Wood, an element that embodies growth, flexibility, and deep roots. The combination of Snake and Wood makes 2025 a year to shed old skins, embrace new perspectives, and anchor your dreams into reality. Here are some ways to work this energy to fullest extent:
Ways to Work with the First New Moon & Lunar New Year Energy Here’s how you can harness the magic of this cosmic fresh start: 1. Set Your Intentions Use the energy of the new moon to journal your intentions. Questions to ponder:
2. Cleanse Your Space Before you can grow, you must clear out the clutter. Just as the Snake sheds its skin, take this time to let go of what no longer serves you. Smudge your home with sage, sprinkle some salt in your corners for energetic clearing, or even just reorganize your sacred space. Consider as you clean what you're ready to release or what has served its purpose and is ready for releasing. 3. Create a Lunar Vision Board: A fun way to create a board is to go digital! Create a vision board on Canva or Pinterest that reflects your goals for the year. Include images, affirmations, and symbols that resonate with the themes of intuition, growth, and adaptability. 4. Incorporate Family Traditions For my family, the Lunar New Year is always special. One of our favorite traditions is exchanging red envelopes with $2 bills inside. Why $2 bills, you ask? We believe they bring good luck and ensure prosperity for the coming year! It’s such a beautiful way to share abundance and blessings with loved ones while staying connected to this season of renewal. This year, I’ll be traveling to Minnesota to spend time with my children and grandchildren. Rest assured, the red envelope tradition will be alive and well—and full of love. A Ritual to Align with the Year of the Wood Snake: Here’s a simple but powerful ritual to kick off 2025 aligned with this lunar magic:

It’s been a while since I sat down to write—really write. The kind of writing where my thoughts flow freely, unfiltered and unapologetically real. There’s a rustiness to it, a clunky awkwardness that comes from letting the words sit still for too long. But today, I breathe. And as I exhale, I’m reminded that life’s flow doesn’t stop just because we’ve paused to catch our breath. It’s always moving, carrying us forward, whether we’re ready or not.
This morning, as I sipped my coffee, I felt that familiar stirring. A nudge. A whisper. Maybe it was the sunlight streaming through the window, or perhaps it was the way the steam curled upward, as if it, too, had something to say. Whatever it was, it reminded me that the flow is always there, waiting for me to dip back in. Lately, life has felt a little… noisy. You know what I mean? That kind of noise that isn’t external but internal. The hum of too many thoughts competing for attention, the nagging pull of things undone, and the quiet—yet persistent—whisper of "you should be doing more." But here’s the thing I’m learning: there is magick in the pause. In the stillness. In the decision to say, "Today, I’ll just be." And so, I’ve decided to stop fighting the flow and instead, float with it. To honor the rhythm of my life as it is, not as I think it should be. It’s a gentle surrender, one that’s been both liberating and terrifying. But isn’t that the dance of life? The constant balancing act between holding on and letting go. Today, I let go of needing everything to be perfect. I let go of the fear that my words won’t resonate or that they might be too much, or worse, not enough. Instead, I’m choosing to trust that the words I share will find the hearts that need them most. Life is generous, isn’t it? It’s messy and unpredictable, but it’s also overflowing with gifts—gifts that come in the form of small moments, quiet revelations, and even the pauses that feel a little uncomfortable. Like the moon illuminating the darkest corners of our being, these moments remind us to look closer, to pay attention, and to embrace the beauty in the chaos. Speaking of embracing the chaos, I’ve been diving into some updates behind the scenes. My website is getting a much-needed refresh, reflecting the ever-evolving essence of who I am and the work I’m called to share. It’s been a labor of love—infusing it with magick, intention, and clarity. As part of this process, I’ve also decided to prioritize my blog. Writing has always been a way for me to connect with myself and with all of you, and I’m excited to make this space one where my thoughts, musings, and moments of magick can live freely. So here I am, a little rusty but grateful. Grateful for the flow, for the pause, and for the opportunity to sit here, typing these words, knowing they’re a part of something bigger. A ripple in the infinite stream of connection and creation. To anyone reading this, I hope you’ll give yourself permission to pause when you need it. To trust that even in the stillness, you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. And when you’re ready, the flow will always be there, waiting to carry you forward. Until next time, dare to do the big and little things... Love, love, LOVE! Shakti |
